The Sewing Basket (Balmain, Caringbah, Kincumber & Newington)
The Sewing Basket accepts donations of fabrics, patterns, patchwork, embroidery materials, knitting and crochet yarn, and haberdashery in good condition. These items support employment opportunities for people with disabilities while promoting sustainable textile reuse.
Fabrics – Cotton, linen, wool, and synthetic materials suitable for sewing projects.
Patterns & Patchwork – Dressmaking patterns, quilting fabric, and patchwork pieces.
Embroidery & Yarn – Embroidery threads, knitting and crochet yarn, and cross-stitch kits.
Donations can be dropped off at The Sewing Basket locations in Balmain, Newington, Caringbah and Kincumber. Proceeds from sales fund employment programs and help divert textiles from landfill.
